A group welcoming weather professionals, enthusiasts, and those with an interest in science.
On July 29, 2025, the Department of Energy (DOE) published a report entitled “A Critical Review of Impacts of Greenhouse Gas Emissions on the U.S. Climate”, which comes to very different conclusions than previous reports, such as those from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Professor Schmittner has contributed to a subsequent evaluation of the DOE report by the scientific community and will share some of those findings with a focus on ice age cycles and the impacts of how hurricanes and coral reefs are changing with our warmer ocean temperatures.

When: Thursday, January 15th at 7 pm (6 pm social hour)
