February & March Meeting Dates and Details

February Meeting:

What: It’s the 30th anniversary of the 1996 Great Flood. Arguably, the most impactful weather event of the past 50 years, we will take a look back at this historic event. Speaker lineup will be released shortly.

When: Monday February 23rd, at 6 pm

Where: OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) in Portland. The meeting will primarily be in the Empirical Theater—1945 S.E. Water Ave. in Portland.

March Meeting:

What: It’s our annual Winter Weather Recap meeting. Mark Nelsen (KPTV Chief Meteorologist) will be returning for his annual look back. What happened during the past winter, and how did the winter forecasts do? – It is also the nomination meeting for the 2026-27 Oregon AMS Executive Council. All 7 positions are up for election.

When: Thursday, March 19th @ 7 pm (6 pm social hour)

Where: Golden Valley Brewery – 1520 NW Bethany Blvd, Beaverton, OR 97006. All ages are welcome! We will be in the larger room downstairs! Take exit 65 off US 26.
