September Meeting: 2025-2026 Kickoff

Welcome to the 2025-2026 Oregon AMS meeting year. We are really excited for this year as we have a lot of great speakers lined up.

We begin this year with our kickoff meeting on Thursday, September 18. We will meet once again at Stark Street Pizza. Social hour begins at 6 p.m. and the meeting at 7 p.m.

The meeting will feature multiple presentations, including Tanis Leach taking a look at the historic year that NWS Medford is having with a record number of severe warnings issued. Ian Reed, a National Park Services employee from Mt. St. Helens, will join us to show off some of the awesome pictures he has captured. Ian gets to see the mountain in all kinds of weather. Bobby Corser will also have a quick presentation about his weather experiences during his graduation this past May. We will also have open slots for anyone who would like to present to our members.
