Tuesday, February 14th…
We are excited to announce that we are back to in-person meetings beginning with our “Winter Weather Recap” meeting with Mark Nelsen in March. There will be NO February meeting. This marks exactly two years since we last met in person. This will also be our annual election nomination meeting. All seven (7) positions on the executive council are open for nomination. However, we are specifically short two (2) councilors, with the departure of Brian MacMillan and Anne Campolongo earlier this year. We will need to fill both of these positions, at a minimum. Each position serves on the council for a one year term.
Here are several important reminders:
* You must be a “current” National AMS member (either associate or full) to be nominated or hold office as the Oregon AMS President or Vice President. All other positions do NOT require this.
* You must be present at this meeting in order to nominate another Oregon AMS member and/or to accept your nomination, should you be nominated by a fellow member.
* All nominees as well as those nominating another member must be “current” with their 2021/22 Oregon AMS dues. This will be verified by the sitting secretary/treasurer, after the meeting has ended.
* Meeting rules and guidelines (respectful decorum) adopted by the executive council in June of 2019 will be enforced at this meeting.
* Come hungry! We have a required $550 food and beverage minimum that we should have no problem achieving.
