Who: Kyle Dittmer, Oregon AMS member and Hydrologist-Meteorologist for the Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission

When: Wednesday, May 15th 2019 (6pm-7pm social hour) 7pm Meeting!

Agenda: What is the impact of local weather and climate zones on vineyard operations?  What type of geology/soils and geography helps to grow good wine grapes? What are the social, health, and economic impacts from the PNW wine industry?  Find out from a local weather expert who will explain the factors of Mother Nature impacting growing grapes…and how to make good wine!

UPDATE — Oregon AMS Summer Barbeque

After repeated requests and as mentioned at the last monthly meeting, the executive council has received no offers from members to host an Oregon AMS summer barbeque at their home this summer. Therefore in keeping with the “every other summer” precedent set over the past 8 years, the executive council will forgo this summers barbeque and set our eyes on the summer 2020, back at Mark Nelsen’s home.

This is the final call for elections ballots. If you have not already sent yours back in, please do so before next Tuesday, May 14th at 10pm. Send completed ballots to: amselection@googlegroups.com.

If you have NOT received your ballot, please email Mark Nelsen (Mark.Nelsen@kptv.com) to request one. Please DO NOT send your completed ballot back to Mark. It needs to be sent to: amselection@googlegroups.com so the election committee (Bobby Corser, Tyler Mode and Mark Nelsen) will receive them all at the same time. The election results will be announced at the May meeting next week, as well as in a final email to all Oregon AMS members before we recess for the summer.
