Presentation: Climate Change Issues of Hawaii

A total of 57 Oregon AMS members and colleagues attended the January Oregon AMS meeting held at Stark Street Pizza on January 23rd. Oregon AMS member Kyle Dittmer explored the affects of climate change on the Hawaiian islands. A Q&A session followed via Skype where AMS members were able to interactively ask questions directly to Professor Ryan Perroy PhD at the University of Hawaii, nearly 3,000 miles away.

Next up — Drew Jackson will present “Snowin’ & Blowin’ at Mt. Bachelor: A day in the life of Oregon’s highest elevation ski area. This meeting will be held on February 28th at McMenamins, located at NE 15th and Broadway in Portland’s Lloyd District.
