Just a quick reminder about the next Oregon AMS meeting tonight. We have added a quick presentation from Oregon AMS member Oca Hoeflein, who was introduced at the meeting at OMSI on October 28th. He took some amazing videos and photos of the gorge fire last summer and will share them with us at the top of the meeting, before John’s headlining presentation. November AMS Meeting Update
Historic Eagle Creek Fire! This will be a technical meeting that will focus on the details surrounding the explosive Eagle Creek Fire in the gorge. John Saltenberger, Meteorologist, US Dept of Fish & Wildlife Service, Northwest Interagency Coordination Center, will give us a great presentation on both weather conditions and fire conditions that lead up to what will likely go down as the biggest fire in the gorge in a generation!
